Some people just have a way of creating joy and energy as soon as they enter a room. Gretchen and Peter are such people. We knew from the beginning we were going to hit it off – they loved photography, were foodies just like us, and decided to forgo a “normal” wedding venue and instead hold their celebration at one of their favorite restaurants in Seattle, Ponti Seafood Grill. A couple after our own hearts!
Fast forward to their actual wedding day, and Gretchen had a smile on her face from the moment we arrived. She and Peter got ready at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel because they wanted some quintessential Seattle photos both on the famed Spanish staircase and on the streets outside the hotel. After a little fun with the wedding party, we headed to Ponti for the official festivities. Pink was the color of choice, and I’m pretty sure that more than one of the details at their wedding (including their pink fondant cake) were pinterest-inspired additions. It was a beautiful gathering of friends and family, made even better by some of the best food, wine and service we have ever experienced at a wedding (if you go to Ponti, you simply must try their Thai Seafood Penne).
Gretchen and Peter, thank you for making us a part of your special day. We had a wonderful time, and hope you love your photos! :)
